Kite trip to Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic - an exciting journey to the border with the neighboring Republic of Haiti.

A kite trip to Monte Cristi is suitable for everyone.

There is flat, wave riding, and even riding on the shores of uninhabited islands in the Atlantic Ocean

The city of Monte Cristi is located in the northwest of the Dominican Republic, a four-hour drive from Cabarete.

The city was founded in the 16th century, but unfortunately only a few old buildings in the center have survived.

Nevertheless, visiting this small town is very interesting, because you will hardly meet tourists here.

The calling card of the city is Mount El Morro.

At the foot of this mountain there is a magnificent beach for relaxation.

But kitesurfing enthusiasts go further.

Wind for kitesurfing in the Monte Cristi kite trip

Monte Cristi, like Buen Ombre, is located in a different climate zone.

Compared to Cabarete, the climate here is drier and hotter.

Monte Cristi has less rainfall than Cabarete, more windy days per year and stronger winds.

We will sail by boat into the depths of the ocean, where a few kilometers from the shore there is a chain of seven uninhabited islands called the "Seven Brothers" (Siete Hermanos).

Not far from Monte Cristi there is a wild spot, completely untouched by tourism.

We will spend the whole day there kiting and have a real picnic on the ocean shore.
