IMPORTANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE COUNTRY
A visa is not required in advance to enter the Dominican Republic.
At passport control you will be asked to fill out a migration card.
Sometimes migration cards are handed out on planes, or you can print the card at home and fill it out in advance.
For those who don't want to bother with documents, passport control will offer a filling out service for $10.
The maximum period of stay in the Dominican Republic on a tourist visa is 90 days (depending on the country of arrival)
If you are visiting for a longer period, you will need to pay a visa overstay fee at passport control upon departure.

You can pay by card in supermarkets, hotels and some restaurants in the tourist area.
We do not recommend paying by card in places where you are not sure of the reliability, for example: gas stations, small souvenir shops, etc.
It is also better not to use ATMs, because... Cases of fraud are not uncommon here.
The safest way to withdraw money using a card is at the bank's cash desk, upon presentation of your passport.
We strongly recommend you take out medical insurance for your trip to Cabarete, covering injuries sustained as a result of extreme sports.
Medical care here is at a very high level, but significantly expensive.
No vaccinations are required to travel to the Dominican Republic.
There are no dangerous insects or predators here.
You don't have to worry about sharks either. No cases of attacks have been recorded here.
